Possession Order
(i) The court charge a fee of £355* which will need to be sent with the court papers. If the panel solicitor files the court papers for you, you will need to send them a cheque for the Court fee. The panel solicitor can also arrange to send the court papers to your tenant once the court has issued the proceedings.
(ii) The process is called “accelerated” as it is supposed to be quick and hassle free. A tenant may choose to do nothing and (if so) the court will usually grant the possession order and no additional work or fee is required to get the possession order.
(iii) If your tenant defends the proceedings more work will be required. Some companies choose not to tell you this but insist on you paying them additional fees. Our panel solicitors can continue to assist if this happens at a discounted hourly rate of only £99 p/h plus VAT per hour and they will try their best to provide you with a cost estimate depending upon the defence filed by the tenant.
Enforcement
(i) The court charge a fee of £110* to get a warrant which will need to be sent with your application.
